I was excited to combine a level of intensity with deep melodic vibes when invited to open for LA producer and DJ, Goldroom at Q Nightclub. It was exhilarating to unleash a quintessentially DYR set on the dancefloor over one of the best sound systems in the world. Looking back over the trajectory of my style over the last three years, I can say that I feel really proud of the way it has evolved. The best part is that it is always changing!

This was a special set from a good friend's birthday in July '18. I know my friend loves Japan, house music and chilling on the beach so I could not pass on the opportunity to combine all of these interests into the perfect mix. Enjoy this live recording of DYR's set from WAVY: Beach Party at Golden Gardens.
In March '18, a few friends and I crowded into one of my favorite rooms in the whole city for a dance party packed wall-to-wall. People were spilling out into the hallway, playing foosball, drinking beer and jamming to the music blasting from this tiny room. It was clear that we had officially out-grown this space that had been a second-home to me when I was just starting out DJing in Seattle. The Upstairs holds some unforgettable memories of creating funky one-off dance parties for me and my friends. Perhaps I'll return for a future, exclusive occasion one day!
My friends make lots of different kinds of music and so do I. In my world, on a typical weekend I'll catch a healthy dose of live folk and rock music as well as techno and house sets by DJ friends. Once in a while, on special occasions, worlds collide and I get to DJ under unconventional circumstances. This is a spooked out mix of disco, electro and sci-fi electronica from the HELLAWEEN weekend house show thrown by Baywitch and friends at Space Bar in Seattle, WA. God, that was a fun show!
In 2017, I threw a release party for my first official single "All The Time" at the elusive, now-defunct venue, The Moon @ BIG BLDG in Seattle, WA. The party featured performances by myself and fellow Seattleites Nick Charles, disco enthusiast Parker Mills, and DJ-Producer Meltonwax. I consider this event my first time presenting who I am as an artist to the Seattle music community. It was my lift-off and I imagine that everyone who came out that night was along for the rocket ride into inner disco/house space, too! 🚀
